So I spent the weekend in Fort Worth attending Youth Lab 07 at Southwestern Baptist Seminary. It was defiantly a lot of fun getting to know some new people from our church and learning a whole lot in the process.
It was an easy realization that this weekend was going to be pretty exciting when after we finished registering the schools tornado sirens started going off and we ended up spending about an hour in the basement. While we were down there the worship leader lead everyone in a capella worship songs and prayer. Eventually everything cleared up and we went back to the sanctuary for a few more songs and then left to go to our Breakout Sessions.
The smaller classes or Breakout sessions were pretty much the meat and bones of the weekend with each one covering a different topic. The one that really stood out the most to me was one titled “Staying Fit as a Spiritual Leader” that mainly addressed personal quiet time. This has always been a struggle for me for as long as I can remember, but I really think I got some good stuff there.
So yeh, it was a pretty good weekend
