contrary to popular belief, i am not a video gamer and with the exception of the first halo game i suck at video games in general. i just thought i'd clear the air on that subject.
today i've been shifting my video game time between playing tiger woods 2k6 and oblivion. i was speaking to a friend about the differences between tw:2k6 and the last ver i played, tw:2k4 and how stupid i felt that the controls in 2k6 were. well it turns out that in 2k7 (i didn't even know there was a 2k7 until my friend told me. all i saw at the store was 2k6, but i guess that explains why it was only $20...) all of the things i complained about were fixed... i find this semi exciting and hope that the local used game store will give me close to the amount that i paid for it when trading it in for 2k7 next week when my insurance money comes...
oh yeh on the insurance thing, it was totally a pain. i thought i was dealing with a local company, but alas i was dealing with some conglomerate from new york or something. anyway at least my adjuster was in houston.... anyway she originally denied my claim because i "failed to give proof" of owning the items that were stolen... so i called her and for like the third time explained to her that i kept receipts, manuals and boxes to things i bought, but that those were stole also, presumably to repackage things and sell them.. i ended up having to have my dad write a letter saying he saw all of the things still missing at my apt before they were stolen.. after all of that she decided to approve my claim. i hope that the check comes next week...
uh it seems like there is some other stuff going on, but w/e
