I finally wrangled my computer into submission.
Friday May 4th, 2007 (Late Night): Had a friend look at the computer. Video would not come one.
Saturday May 5th, 2007 (Morning): Realized that I'm retarded and that I had left the receipts and warranty at friend;s house in Austin. Left earlier than intended to go back to Fry's.
Saturday May 5th, 2007 (Mid-Morning): Took everything back to fry's and was told that the ram i had originally purchased was incompatible with my motherboard. demanded to test ram before i left the store. store employee did not understand why. explained that i had been told the supposed incompatible ram was compatible, so why should i trust them this time.
Saturday May 5th, 2007 (Early-Afternoon): Turns out it was not the RAM. Demanded that I be allowed to exchange everything I had purchased on Monday for new Items of same make / model. Fry's management originally said no, but then I told them that they didn't have a choice. They then complied
Saturday May 5th, 2007 (Afternoon): Met with the brother of a friend to purchase a SATA dvd burning drive.
Saturday May 5th, 2007 (Late-Afternoon): Assembled everything at my apartment and installed windows vista.
Tuesday May 8th, 2007 (Evening): Have encountered various Vista related issues, but hardware is functioning normally.
So I am glad that seemingly never ending saga is over. I am still experiencing issues with vista such as itunes not working, but that's not the hardware's fault.
Uh there have been some other things going on i suppose, but nothing much to speak of...
I gave a presentation at the board meeting last night and i think the board members were vaguely impressed.
There's always some girls stuff involving certain feelings for a girl whom i've had on and off feelings about for around two years.
